One of AEW's most recent signings competed on AEW Rampage in a singles competition against Hikaru Shida tonight. Despite her valiant efforts, she suffered a loss. This would be Queen Aminata.

Fightful Select recently reported that Queen Aminata had quietly signed with the Jacksonville-based promotion. However, it was not noted whether this was a full-time deal or a part-time one. She also made her in-ring return last month after being on a hiatus for almost ten months due to injury.

Queen Aminata has since been actively competing in the Jacksonville-based promotion, also having a strong showing during her match against the debuting Mariah May last week on Dynamite. She faced a former AEW Women's World Champion in Hikaru Shida on the latest episode of Rampage.

It was another great showing for Aminata, but in the end, Shida pulled through, hitting her Katana kick to secure another victory. This would continue the Japanese star's winning streak as she looks to bounce back after losing her title to "Timeless" Toni Storm at Full Gear 2023 Pay-Per-View.

Despite not having the best of luck in her matches following her return, Queen Aminata has still had some great matches, and she could have her big break sooner rather than later.
