On the latest AEW Dynamite 250, a popular star seemingly referenced Cody Rhodes by using his Cross Rhodes finisher during his match. This would be Will Ospreay.

During tonight's special edition of Dynamite, The Aerial Assassin put his International Championship on the line against MJF. Last week, Friedman and Ospreay got into a heated exchange of words after the former turned heel at the expense of Daniel Garcia.
This set up the match between the two, as The Wolf of Wrestling wished to expose Will Ospreay and show him he was the best in the world. Tonight would also be the first time the two shared the ring one-on-one.

The British star is arguably known for his unorthodox move set. He has pulled out several incredible moves and strikes and has even adopted some other well-known manuever from across the industry.
At a point in the match, he set up MJF for a Cross Rhodes finisher, winked at the crowd, and hit it. This variation looked too similar to Cody Rhodes' variation of the move, so this may have been an intentional reference.

In addition to Cody Rhodes' finisher, he used AJ Styles' Styles Clash, which could be his way of paying homage to the top stars.

Growing up, Enzo admired former world champions like AJ Styles, Will Ospreay, Bryan Danielson, Triple H, and Randy Orton for their finishing moves. As an adult, he started to appreciate their character work, as they juggled between heel and babyface gimmicks.
If allowed to produce one final storyline involving his idols, he would have Orton lock horns with John Cena, would be their one last big feud as both of them seem to be approaching the tail end of their careers.
