Vince McMahon is no longer a name people would want to associate themselves with, but many of his former employees still acknowledge his teachings. While reacting to Chris Jericho's comments about McMahon, Teddy Long also revealed his working relationship with the former WWE CEO.

For decades, Vince McMahon ruled over pro wrestling, and it felt like he might never truly retire from the WWE. However, a series of sexual misconduct allegations followed by a lawsuit from former employee Janel Grant has pretty much ended his career in the wrestling business for good.

McMahon continues to battle legal troubles, but his impact on the pro wrestling business is undeniable. During a recent episode of Sportskeeda'a The Wrestling Time Machine, host Mac Davis and experts Teddy Long and Bill Apter reacted to Chris Jericho talking about what he'd learned from Vince McMahon.

Just like the AEW star, Teddy Long admitted that he'd picked up almost everything he knew about wrestling from McMahon and recalled a few storylines that had the former boss' contributions:

"Yeah, basically I learned everything about really what this business is all about, I learned that from working closely with him. And like I said, a lot of the stuff I did, Vince McMahon wrote. The thing with me and Undertaker, where he kidnapped me, Vince was a part of that. He was part of the stuff when I was doing the white boy challenge, he wrote some of that stuff." Teddy Long learned the difference about when to "play" in wrestling from Vince McMahon

It's no secret that Mr. McMahon wasn't the easiest of bosses to please.

Vince McMahon scolded many talents for various reasons, and Teddy Long also recently revealed a story involving Randy Orton that got him major heat from the office. Long participated in various controversial angles during his prime and realized over time that he needed to be careful about what he did in the ring.

There was a time to "play" in front of the cameras and a time to do business, and Teddy Long figured out the difference after working under VKM:

"When I went out and insulted Jerry Lawler in Memphis, Vince wrote that line. So, he helped me out a lot and like I said, I learned a lot that this is a business and there is a time to play and there is a time to say business." [From 01:10 to 01:23]

McMahon seemingly has no way back into professional wrestling. Recent rumors, though, suggest the retired booker could begin an entirely new venture and it could happen despite obvious backlash.
