Details of a secret AEW PPV debut revealed – Reports

Could another AEW pay-per-view be debuting in 2023?
Could another AEW pay-per-view be debuting in 2023?

AEW has expanded its pay-per-view schedule significantly in 2023, but a recent announcement seems to have confirmed another big event.

It was recently announced that the ROH Final Battle pay-per-view that is set to take place on December 15th will air exclusively on the HonorClub streaming platform at no extra cost to what subscribers already pay ($10 per month).

Final Battle will be the first major PPV from either AEW or Ring of Honor not to air on major pay-per-view providers or on Bleacher Report, like every other major event of its kind has in recent years.

However, there seems to be a very good reason for this, as Dave Meltzer noted on the latest edition of Wrestling Observer Radio that the decision to air Final Battle on HonorClub at no extra cost could be down to the fact that AEW has another pay-per-view planned for the final weekend of 2023.

"I believe there’s a (AEW) pay-per-view on the 30th. Might be the 29th. But there’s gonna be one at the end. So Ring of Honor will not be on Bleacher Report, it won’t be available on television, it won’t be available on pay-per-view, won’t be available anywhere except for HonorClub, and it won’t be an extra charge for HonorClub. The HonorClub subscription will include the pay-per-view," said Dave Meltzer. [H/T: WrestleTalk]

With this event taking place on the final weekend of the year, All Elite Wrestling will have expanded its pay-per-view schedule to eight events thanks to the introduction of August's All In and October's WrestleDream.

AEW's next pay-per-view will be Full Gear on November 18th

One event that has been a staple of All Elite Wrestling's pay-per-view schedule since the inception of the company has been Full Gear, which will return for its fifth installment this November.

The event is set to take place at the KIA Forum in Los Angeles, California, marking the third time All Elite Wrestling has held an event there in its history and the first time they holding a pay-per-view there.

Full Gear's main event will feature MJF defending his AEW World Championship against Jay White, who has kept hold of the The Devil's title in recent weeks.

The event will also mark the second pay-per-view that All Elite Wrestling has held in the state of California in 2023 alone, with Revolution taking place at the Chase Center in San Francisco. ROH also held an event in California earlier this year, as Supercard of Honor took place at the Galen Center in Los Angeles over WrestleMania weekend.
