A former AEW champion may not return to the promotion for the rest of the year. Freshly Squeezed Orange Cassidy is one of the most polarizing figures in the pro wrestling industry. However, since his hiatus, fans have been missing his presence on TV, whether they like him or not. Ahead of the break from AEW TV, he was feuding with Death Riders and the Don Callis Family.
The former International Champion was last seen in the Jacksonville-based promotion almost three months ago. He failed to win a Fatal Four-Way contest involving Mike Bailey, Ricochet, and Mark Davis. In the midst of his long hiatus, fans were concerned about his health. While vague reports of him being injured circulated, a recent update has made things more clear.
As per Fightful.com, Orange Cassidy is absent because of a torn pectoral muscle. While the report is unsure whether he underwent surgery or not, it claimed that the former International Champion might not return to TV for the rest of 2025.

AEW President Tony Khan talked about Orange Cassidy's injury
Orange Cassidy has proven to be one of the more crucial members of the locker room. His injury has seemingly left a huge dent in the company.
While speaking during the AEW Revolution media scrum, Tony Khan said that losing wrestles like Jay White and Cassidy hasn't been great for the promotion.
"The past two weeks, it's no secret, the company got bit hard by an injury bug. The roster and locker room really rallied hard. To lose wrestlers like Orange Cassidy and then Jay White, back-to-back weeks, those are two of the top stars in the company and we would have loved to had both of them here tonight and everybody stepped up," he said.
It will be interesting to see when will the Freshly Squeezed return to the squared circle.
