The latest on Danhausen and his unfortunate AEW situation - Reports

Danhausen's run in AEW has been immensely underwhelming. He made his debut in the company in January 2022. However, since then, he has hardly wrestled for them.

Very Nice, Very Evil's last All Elite Wrestling match was in an AEW TNT Title Right To Challenge Anytime, Anywhere Battle Royal at AEW Worlds End 2023 - Zero Hour. Apart from him, this match featured names such as Serpentico, Dalton Castle, Johnny TV, Lee Johnson, Angelo Parker, Matt Menard, Christopher Daniels, Rocky Romero, Darius Martin, Action Andretti, The Blade, and more.

It appears like Tony Khan has dropped the ball on the 34-year-old and probably has no major plans for him. Even though Danhausen is still signed to the Jacksonville-based company, he hasn't made a single appearance for them this year. Interestingly, he has been wrestling on the independent circuit.

The AEW star is rumored to leave the company after his contract expires. Fightful's Sean Ross Sapp was recently asked about the situation and his answer was interesting. According to him, the promotion and the wrestler came into contact in September this year. However, there still were no creative plans for him.

"There had been some contact between AEW and Danhausen in September, but I've not heard of any creative plans. Ultimately, he works there. So if they tell him to come to work, he will. He's never said or implied otherwise," said Sean Ross Sapp.

Earlier this month, Matt Cardona took a dig at Danhausen

Matt Cardona (fka Zack Ryder) is best known for his time in WWE, where he held the WWE Intercontinental Championship once. He recently took a dig at Very Nice, Very Evil by asking if he has more matches than action figures in Tony Khan's promotion.

"How many AEW figures has he had compared to matches wrestled?" Cardona wrote.

Matt Cardona has made appearances in AEW in the past. He is a former GCW World Champion.
