Tony Khan seems to have given up on 3-time WWE United States Champion in AEW

AEW President Tony Khan has one of the biggest rosters in pro wrestling at his disposal. The sheer number of performers in the promotion means there is a constant struggle to find time to book everyone. One of the most clamored-for returns has to be that of Miro, but it seems Khan may have given up on the former TNT Champion.

While his debut was well-received at first, it wasn't until Miro embraced his "Redeemer" persona that fans truly got behind him. During this stage of his run, his heated promos where he often spoke to his God as well as having a dominant in-ring presence got him majorly over with fans.

When Miro first lost to Sammy Guevara, fans were hopeful that the promotion had built a major mid-carder babyface and set The Redeemer up for a monstrous main event run. But as he is yet to be seen in 2023, fans have already begun to give up hope. While it may seem like Tony Khan has given up on Miro, nothing is set in stone.

Until his contract expires with the promotion, fans can unfortunately only speculate. Hopefully, for all the anxious fans, Tony Khan finds some middle ground with Miro before then. While The Redeemer's status is unsure, fans are already speculating that CJ Perry (Lana) could be returning to WWE.

Miro is still contracted to AEW, despite the many speculations about his status

The last time fans saw The Redeemer on television for the promotion was during his appearance at AEW All Out. Since then, however, the star hasn't even been mentioned on television despite fan outcry on social media.

In an edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer confirmed that nothing has changed surrounding The Redeemer's position within All Elite Wrestling.

“There is nothing new on Miro. He’s on the roster and hasn’t been used,” Meltzer said.

It remains to be seen if Miro will or won't return to AEW. Until then fans will continue to make their own conclusions despite the star himself being tight-lipped about the situation.
