#4 Should NOT win: Sammy is a prominient underdog babyface against Cody

Many AEW fans would rather not see Cody Rhodes win against Sammy Guevera. In every competitive field, it's a common tendency for spectators to root for the underdog. In this case, the underdog is unarguably Sammy. The young AEW star has captivated the audience in a way only an underdog can. In some ways, the Spanish God is comparable to how fans view Darby Allin.

In a matchup against Cody Rhodes, fans will undoubtedly be cheering for Sammy. The shaky place that Cody's character arc is at right now does not really sit well with the audience either. A win for the Spanish God might just be what the fans will appreciate right now.

#3 Should win: Cody Rhodes has been without a big win for a while

To see a veteran like Cody Rhodes with no gold for an extended period of time does not bode well for his relevance. The American Nightmare's appearances have been underwhelming recently. Although his recent street fight match received a good response from the audience, especially because of his high risk move which sent both Andrade and him through a flaming table.

The inaugural TNT champion would love to see the belt back around his waist again. This would restore some semblance of relevance to the top star of AEW. A win against Sammy is the only obstacle standing in his way right now.
