Journalist calls on Tom Brady to retire mid-season to save marriage with Gisele Bundchen

Tom Brady and Gisele Bundchen could be heading towards a divorce, with both of them reportedly hiring divorce lawyers. One thing that has been considered a factor in this impending divorce is the fact that Brady couldn't stay retired, returning to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for another season.

T.J. Moe, a contributor on Jason Whitlock's Fearless talk show, doesn't think Brady made the right decision at the time. He implored him to do so now.

Moe first said:

"I'd like to see him retire. Right now. Middle of the season."

Moe paused to think before he continued:

"Who's your commitment to? God and your family and the covenant you took, hopefully before God, or a team that you walked back to? And forced the retirement of a coach. I get all of that. I'm telling you, I'm abandoning every man that's ever existed before I'm abandoning my wife ... Go save your family, man. Football ain't worth it."

Whitlock agreed, but also admitted that it's a tough spot for Brady to be in. Leaving his team hanging is not something he'd want to do for any reason.

Moe then brought up the fact that Tom Brady could have 50 more years to spend with Bundchen, but just a couple more with the Bucs.

"You've [Brady] got 50 more years with Gisele or two to three years left with Mike Evans. Who are you willing to upset?"

Both NFL analysts believe that marriage is worth more than any football season for anyone.

Will Tom Brady retire to save his marriage?

Most recent reports suggest that Tom Brady and Bundchen's marriage is beyond saving. They've apparently both accepted that and are gearing up for the next step.

Plus, the quarterback recently reiterated on his podcast that he is wholly committed to the Buccaneers. He has no plans of retiring in the offseason, so a mid-season retirement is unlikely.

If there was a chance he could save the marriage, he would probably take that chance, but that likely went out the window several weeks ago.

Now, his focus is on fixing the Buccaneers' season and trying to get back to the playoffs. They are currently 3-4.
