4 Mistakes WWE must not make at Money in the Bank 2019

Our next destination after The Show of Shows leads us to the May 19th pay-per-view, WWE Money in the Bank. Four matches have been confirmed so far, and the event already looks exciting, most importantly because of the match that everyone is talking about, the match that fans have been begging for, the dream match we've always wanted.

Two of the best professional wrestlers in the world right now and the best that WWE currently has to offer. The man who built SmackDown Live and the man who carried Monday Night Raw on his back. Two phenomenal athletes will go head-to-head, and those two are none other than Seth Rollins and AJ Styles. What's even more interesting, to spice things up and make this even more of a must-see, Raw's biggest prize will be on the line, and that is the Universal Championship.

Other matches already confirmed for the event are Becky Lynch vs Lacey Evans for the Raw Women's Championship, Becky Lynch vs Charlotte Flair for the SmackDown Women's Championship and Roman Reigns vs Elias. WWE is yet to announce the participants for the men's and women's Money in the Bank ladder matches. While great things are expected to take place, WWE is known for their odd booking decisions that leave fans disappointed. In order to avoid that, here are four mistakes that WWE must not make at this year's Money in the Bank PPV:

#4 Becky Lynch leaving with two belts

The Man Becky Lynch successfully defeated Ronda Rousey and Charlotte flair in a "Winner-Takes-All" match at WrestleMania 35 to win both the Raw and SmackDown Women's Championships, making her the first women to hold both the titles concurrently. This means that the female roster from both brands have their eyes on her and they want what she is carrying.

The Man is set to defend two of her shiny belts against two opponents in the same night. She will defend her Raw Women's Championship against Lacey Evans and her SmackDown Women's Championship against The Queen Charlotte Flair. Becky has made history by holding both the belts simultaneously but now it's time things went back to the way they were before.

Becky must drop the SmackDown Women's Championship so she can remain with only one title, and that will be beneficiary for the women's division and for Becky herself because she can't compete twice in every PPV. Whatever happens, happens, as long as Becky doesn't leave the PPV with both her belts. Either Charlotte Flair should defeat her or the women's Money in the Bank contract winner should cash in her contract to win either titles.

The Raw and Smackdown women's division needs one champion on each brand and with one person holding both the belts, it's taking away someone else's opportunity and another superstar like Ember Moon, for example, could carry one championship while Becky carries the other. WWE must not make the mistake of letting her leave with both the titles.

#3 Becky Lynch dropping the Raw Women's Championship to Lacey Evans

Now when I said Becky should lose one of her titles in the previous slide, I didn't mean she should lose the Raw Women's Championship, and especially not to Lacey Evans. In fact, she should retain the title. Not so long ago Lacey Evans did nothing but interrupt matches and segments by walking down the ramp to her theme song, waving at the audience and then proceeding by walking back up the ramp on Raw, SmackDown Live and PPVs.

She only competed in one singles match on the main roster and that was only a few weeks ago on Monday Night Raw, where she defeated the veteran Natalya Neidhart to earn a shot at Becky's Raw Women's title. WWE has a big push planned for the ex-marine and if they make her win the title too soon, it'll be something that they'll deeply regret, and she might end up like Roman Reigns pre-2019.

#2 Kofi Kingston dropping the WWE Championship to Kevin Owens

Kofi Kingston shocked the world at WrestleMania 35 when he pinned Daniel Bryan to win the WWE Championship, making him the first African American and the first African-born WWE Champion. An 11-year-long journey paid off for Kingston. But now, Kofi has a target in his back, in the form of The Prizefighter Kevin Owens.

Personally, I saw the Kevins Owens' heel turn coming because I didn't buy the "Big O" gimmick at all. Kevin Owens turning on The New Day is not really surprising, because we have seen him do something similar twice in the past. This is the same guy who betrayed and attacked his best friend Sami Zayn and did the same to his other best friend Chris Jericho.

Owens makes a great heel, and it made perfect sense for him to do what he did, because in the end, the only thing that matters is being on top, and to be on top you have to be the WWE Champion. The title is the only thing that matters, and after all, he is the prizefighter.

What doesn't make sense, however, is Kofi losing the WWE Championship to Kevin Owens at Money in the Bank. He fought so hard for the title and fans were behind him all the way. Losing it on his first title defence will ruin everything he worked for in the past 11 years. WWE, do the right thing and let Kofi retain.

#1 Seth Rollins vs AJ Styles ending in a clean victory

Just like every other WWE fan, I wanted to see these two face each other in a dream match, but I wasn't expecting it to happen this soon, especially not at a PPV like Money in the Bank. I wanted to see these two battle it out for the Universal Championship in the main event of WrestleMania 36. Well, it's happening soon anyway, and the one thing we hope for is that the match won't end in a clean victory by either Rollins or Styles.

WWE has been teasing the reunion of The Club for a while now, and if it turns out to be true, then Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows should interrupt Styles and Rollins' match or it should end in a disqualification, then we could see Styles and Rollins face each other in a proper match at SummerSlam, which is a bigger stage.

Seth Rollins should retain the Universal Championship but in a way that it won't make Styles look bad. WWE must not make the mistake of letting either AJ Styles or Seth Rollins walk out with the Universal Championship. If AJ wins, it will not look good for Seth and it's still early for Styles to win the title.
