Triple H's name has been synonymous with WrestleMania for a long time. However, The King of Kings has recently put his in-ring career on the back burner, focusing more on his backstage duties in WWE. This was the reason why Triple H rejected AJ Styles' appeal to face him at WrestleMania 37.

We will take an in-depth look at Triple H's decision and various other topics. So without further ado, let's dive right in and check out some big WWE stories:

As reported earlier, Triple H has revealed that AJ Styles requested a match with him. Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Newsletter has given more information on it by revealing that AJ Styles had asked Triple H to have a match at WrestleMania 37.

He also revealed that it was AJ Styles who was responsible for making his match against The Undertaker at WrestleMania 36 happen:

"Like he did last year with Undertaker, Styles tried to talk HHH into doing a singles match with him at this year’s WrestleMania. Paul Levesque on a conference call admitted to that and said he turned Styles down, citing he just didn’t have the schedule free enough to prepare for such a match."

The former WWE Champion admitted that when AJ Styles came to ask him for the match, he knew that Styles would be the perfect opponent for him. He told Styles that even though he was honored by the request, he just doesn't have the bandwidth to make it happen.

A WrestleMania match between the two former WWE Champions would surely have been something the fans could have dug their teeth into. Unfortunately, Triple H chose not to be a part of WrestleMania 37.

#4 The Undertaker wants a new role in WWE

The Undertaker has seemingly retired from in-ring action in WWE. The Deadman wrestled his last WrestleMania match last year against AJ Styles. Even though the former WWE Champion might have hung up his boots, he is still a veteran of the business and can help the younger wrestlers flourish.

Speaking on the Victory of Injury podcast, The Deadman revealed that he has been in talks with Triple H for a new role in WWE. He said that he is working on some different projects with WWE outside of the ring:

''I'd like to be in a position where I can be a little more hands-on with the young talent and mentor a little. I think I have a lot to offer and I've always enjoyed talking Xs and Os. I've talked a lot with Triple H about getting down to Orlando and working with guys. I still have the passion.''

The Undertaker admitted that while his days of the 'slow walk' to the ring are over, he still has a lot of passion for the business and wants to watch it grow.

#3 Wade Barrett willing to make in-ring WWE return inspired by Sheamus

Former 5-time IC Champion and current NXT announcer Wade Barrett is open to making an in-ring return to WWE.

Speaking to Corey Graves on After The Bell, the veteran said that he is all for big paychecks and wouldn't mind returning to the ring soon. Even though he loves working as a commentator in NXT, he stated that his days as an in-ring Superstar are not yet over.

Barrett named his former teammate and current WWE US Champion Sheamus as his inspiration. Praising The Celtic Warrior, Barrett said that Sheamus is a tremendous athlete who keeps getting better with age:

''Well, Sheamus is like Benjamin Button. He’s actually older than me and somehow he’s still going as good as ever, if not better. So, hats off to him. I hit 35 and I started getting one foot out of the wrestling ring and into other things at that point, although maybe I’m not done for good, we’ll see, but Sheamus, he goes as hard as ever and good for him.''

Wade Barrett being open to an in-ring return is great news as the Superstar could help elevate the mid-card of RAW or SmackDown when he returns.

The former RAW Women's Champion disclosed that the storyline with Bray Wyatt is not completely planned out. The talent involved do not know what turn it is going to take next:

"What's so crazy is that we don't know where any of it's going. That's part of the exciting part about it. Even with the Alexa Playground, I didn’t know it was going to be a thing, and I show up one day and there’s just like a playground set. And I was like, 'Oh, that’s cool!'"

Speaking to Mike Jones of DC101, Bliss commended WWE for continuously surprising the fans. She said that, just like everyone else, she is also waiting to see what happens next in her bizarre storyline with The Fiend Bray Wyatt.

Former WWE Superstar Sin Cara recently spoke to SportsKeeda's Riju Dasgupta. The two discussed multiple topics, including WWE's treatment of Mexican Superstars. Cara pointed out that not even a single Mexican Superstar was part of the two-night WrestleMania 37 card:

''Talentwise, everybody's very talented. I can understand. But it's just sad to be able to see that the Mexicans, us, don't get the opportunity to showcase... Not one Mexican on the card and that's just unfortunate because if you look at the talent that they have, they have great wrestlers. They can do a lot of positive things with them and they don't do it and they don't really... I don't think they really care, to be honest''.

Sin Cara further added that this was the main reason that he left WWE. He believes that Andrade also left the company for the same reason. He said that it is not about the money for either of them, it is about what they want to accomplish in life.
