Arifureta season 3 episode 7: The Haltina Labyrinth keeps testing the bond of Hajime and company
Arifureta season 3 episode 7, titled A Devilish Trial, commenced with Hajime looking at the other coffins inside which his teammates were sleeping. He then freed Yue and they two enjoyed an intimate moment together. This was followed by Shea waking up on her own.
Followed by Tio and Shizuku, it was revealed that everyone was enjoying a dream with Hajime as their lover. As the Hero's party wasn't waking up by themselves, Hajime's party decided to take a breather.
After returning, as the Hero's Party hadn't exited their coffins, Hajime wanted to pull them out of their dreams. Eventually, Yaegashi also woke up so Hajime asked Shizuku to wake the rest using her magic. After everyone woke up, Hajime spared no time and everyone continued their journey.
While crossing a forest, it started raining which was followed by a burst of slime-like fluids falling from the sky. Yue tried but couldn't save everyone from getting enveloped in the slime fluid. After the slime pour subsided, Hajime was ready to march forward but everyone else, except Tio, started acting weird.
Tio then revealed that the slime had a strong aphrodisiac due to which everyone went into heat. Arifureta season 3 episode 7 then saw Hajime breaking everyone's heat using a potion and, yet again, they avoided a grave trail. However, their trials weren't over as the hardest trail was waiting for them in the next stage.
Arifureta season 3 episode 7 then saw Shea hearing something as she followed the sound to see what was around them. After witnessing the 'thing' that was making the sound, Shea was shocked to her soul and she stood still. Hajime saw Shea and looked into what she saw. After witnessing the 'thing,' he immediately pulled back Shea and announced that the devil stood before them.
After everyone's confused reaction, Hajime used his gear to show a close-up view of the 'thing,' which was a hoard of cockroaches. Everyone started screaming as Yue recommended Hajime burn them away. However, the cockroaches were flying ones and they started ambushing Hajime and company. Arifureta season 3 episode 7 then saw everyone going berserk.
Yue's shield saved them and the hoard of cockroaches passed eventually. However, after Yue's shield wore off, a giant cockroach was standing before them. As Hajime challenged the horrid beast, everyone was flashed with a strong light. Arifureta season 3 episode 7 ended with Hajime and Yue saying that they hate each other.
Arifureta season 3 episode 7: Studio asread did justice to the representation of one of humanity's worst fear
Arifureta season 3 episode 7 was quite possibly one of the most fun-packed episodes as the fans got to witness everyone's weakness. However, among these weaknesses was the collective fear of cockroaches, something that is pretty profound in reality too.
Arifureta season 3 episode 7 wasn't too focused on the animation (narrative-wise) due to which there wasn't much detail to the animation. However, the animation wasn't of key interest as Studio asread perfectly represented the key elements of the episode.
