As evidenced by the World Series trouncing the New York Yankees received, there are moves to be made this winter. They have a number of impactful outgoing free agents and obviously need more talent on the roster, so here's what the Winter Meetings should prioritize for the Yanks.
5 things the Yankees should do at the Winter Meetings

5) Sign Willy Adames

The Yankees currently have a few open spots in the infield. With Gleyber Torres likely gone and Anthony Rizzo following suit, they could use a first baseman, second baseman, and perhaps a third baseman. Adding Willy Adames, a shortstop, might sound nonsensical, but they should do it.
Adames can play shortstop or third base. If he does, Jazz Chisholm Jr. can move to second. If Adames stays at shortstop, then Anthony Volpe can move to second and Chisholm can stay at third. It gives them options and vastly improves their defense.
4) Trade for Devin Williams

Devin Williams is a strong trade candidate. While the Yankees' bullpen was stout last year, it did not have a plethora of big names. Luke Weaver, Clay Holmes and Tommy Kahnle were good, but they're not Williams.
They also dealt with a lot of injuries and Holmes is a free agent right now anyway. The bullpen needs bolstering, so why not add some talent at the top end? The Winter Meetings are a good place to try and make a deal of this magnitude.
3) Sign Max Fried

Starting pitching isn't the biggest need in New York, but there can never be enough on one team. So far, Carlos Rodon hasn't lived up to his billing, and Nestor Cortes doesn't move the needle all that much.
New York desperately needs a strong left-handed starter, and Fried has been that through his entire career. The Yankess have already talked to him, but they need to get the deal done. Fried won't cost as much as some other high-end starters, which helps when they're trying to spend a ton on other players.
2) Trade for Cody Bellinger

As of now, the Yankees have two major holes on the roster: center field and first base. Fortunately, one trade target of theirs plays both positions. Cody Bellinger plays good defense at both spots, is left-handed, and is available.
The Chicago Cubs have reportedly been calling everyone to try and trade Bellinger, which also gives New York some leverage. It could probably get away with an inexpensive deal for a good player that it desperately needs.
1) Re-signing Juan Soto

It has likely been the top priority since the season ended, but Juan Soto should be at the top of the Yankees' list for the Winter Meetings. They need to find Scott Boras and get this deal done.
There are other suitors and the price tag continues to rise, but the Yankees need to bring Soto back. The pairing of Soto and Aaron Judge was historically good, and they can't afford to let that go by the wayside, especially if rival Boston Red Sox or New York Mets land the superstar.
