Toronto Blue Jays starter Alex Manoah threw a terrific game on Saturday against the Baltimore Orioles. He was mowing hitters down through the first five innings and would have gone deeper into the game if it wasn't for his manager's mistake.

Blue Jays manager John Schneider forgot that pitching coach Pete Walker visited Manoah on the mound early in the sixth inning. Schneider took the mound to discuss strategy, and after he turned away, the umpire informed him he needed to take Manoah out.

It's quite the blunder, as multiple coaches on the bench should have stopped this. Manoah would go 5.2 innings, giving up two runs on five strikeouts.

This isn't something that you see every day. MLB managers are usually on top of things like this. Luckily, Tim Mayza, who the team called in relief, got out of the inning. Unfortunately, Toronto would end up losing the game in extra innings.

"Too busy thinking about the Yankees" one fan tweeted.
"Schneider is brutal" another fan tweeted.

New York Yankees fans loved the mistake from the Toronto Blue Jays manager. Scheider was chirping the Yankees bench during their series earlier this week.

This is a mistake that can't happen. From the bench coaches to the players, too many are involved for someone not to say something beforehand.

The Toronto Blue Jays and New York Yankees' rivalry is starting to heat up. Neither team likes the other, and that couldn't have been clearer after their series this week.

The series was tense as allegations of cheating came after Aaron Judge looked into his dugout before launching a no-doubt homer. Judge says he looked in the dugout to find out who was chirping on his side, but Toronto believes he was getting signs.

After that, Yankees pitcher Domingo German was ejected for what umpired deemed an illegal substance. He received a 10-game suspension, and will not appeal.

The series also included the coaching staff chirping at each other from across the field. Schneider yelled at the Yankees' third base coach for leaving the coach's box. The game was delayed as the umpires got in the middle of it to sort things off and let heads cool.

Given how competitive both teams are, expect this rivalry to continue. This could become one of the more exciting rivalries this season.
