Aaron Nola excited to see Trea Turner in Philly and can't wait to get started

Trea Turner's transfer to the Phillies sent shockwaves through the league, and the signing was exactly what the team needed for a serious title push.

Numerous Philly players have expressed their adulation for the swashbuckling shortstop in recent pressers, and Phillies pitcher Aaron Nola is the latest to do so.

Aaron Nola confessed to John Clark of NBCS Philadelphia that he's been a fan of watching the former Los Angeles Dodgers play, and credited his all-round play as key to his success. He said:

"He is a game changer, he changes the game when he steps into the batter's box. he's got power too, he hits in the gaps, he hits you know easily doubles, triples. I love watching the guy play, definitely glad he is on our club"

Turner's signing comes at what looks like the right time, as the Philadelphia Phillies look to go one step further in their title ambitions. If there is one thing that can be said about their 2022 season, it is that they were incredibly resilient.

So much so that they very surprisingly captured the attention of the city of Philadelphia and gave their fans an extra month of exciting and inspiring baseball.

While the 2022 season was a mighty success, the team will look to build on that success entering the 2023 campaign.

One of the hottest free agents this offseason, the Phillies have emerged as lucky suitors for him.

2022 was a season for Turner. He led the league in plate appearances for the first time since 2018, with 708 of them and was quite the shining star of the team.
