New York Yankees legend Alex Rodriguez has maintained his shape even after calling time on his career nearly a decade ago. A huge credit for his fitness regime goes to his girlfriend Jaclyn Cordeiro, a fitness influencer and a trainer.
Jaclyn Cordeiro often shares routines and eating plans to help people get fit via her social media platform. On the Bloom Health Club podcast, Cordeiro advocated the 80/20 rule.
She emphasized the need for complex carbohydrates in our diet, captioning the Instagram post with a snippet from the podcast:

"Master the 80/20 rule because your body deserves fuel, not emotional bandaids. In this snippet, I'm breaking down why it's not about eating perfectly, it's about eating intentionally. 80% whole, nutrient-dense foods to nourish your body. 20% flexibility to enjoy life without guilt. Learn to eat to THRIVE, not just to soothe emotions. Your energy, mood, and results depend on it."
Jaclyn Cordeiro's boyfriend, Alex Rodriguez, reacted to the post, dropping a 1-word comment:
"Preach."

The fitness influencer stressed why it was important to have a carbohydrate-rich meal for productive and result-yielding workouts in her appearance on the podcast.
"Your carbohydrates are going, are going to be the difference between you having a great workout or not. If you're not eating the proper amount of fuel, your workouts are going to suffer, and your sleep is going to suffer. Your thought process is going to suck everything's gonna suffer."
Alex Rodriguez reflects on Pete Rose's potential Hall of Fame induction
MLB made a major decision last month after announcing the removal of players from the ineligible list after their deaths. The decision came in the wake of baseball icon Pete Rose's death last year.
Rose, MLB's all-time hits leader was placed on the ineligible list for gambling on games during his managerial stint with the Cincinnati Reds. After last month's announcement, Rose is eligible for induction into the Hall of Famer.
Alex Rodriguez, who worked as an analyst with Rose at FOX, shared his bittersweet reaction to the news.
"It makes me happy and sad at the same time because Pete was such a friend, and I know that his heart ached a lot because he wasn't in," Rodriguez said to Fox News Digital. "I wish more than anything that could have been done while he was alive."
The former MVP makes a strong case for induction into Cooperstown himself. However, his involvement in the Biogenesis performance-enhancing drug scandal in 2013 has seemingly weakened his case.
