It has been a wonderful season for Bobby Witt Jr. and the Kansas City Royals. Not many people were high on them coming into the season, but they made the postseason.
They took down the Baltimore Orioles in the Wild Card but struggled against the New York Yankees. They lost the ALCS 3-1, ending their season. Despite the loss, Maggie Black, Witt's fiancée, shared a post to close out the season.
Black's post encompassed the regular season fun to the road trips in between and the postseason.
It was not just fans who enjoyed the heartfelt post. Plenty of Bobby Witt Jr.'s teammates' wives were touched by the post and the year that Kansas City had this season.
"No no no! Can we go back?!" said Sarah, wife of Michael Wacha.
"Me heart," said Ryann, wife of Vinnie Pasquantino.
"Best group. Best year. Let's do it again in 4 months," said Amanda, wife of Seth Lugo.
Michael Wacha's wife, Sarah, is not ready for the season to end, something shared by many of the wives.
"Run it back '25. Stop this rn omg I love this so much," said Priscilla, wife of Kyle Isbel.
"Love you so so much!" said Martha, wife of Chris Stratton.
"So thankful to baseball for bringing you into my life! Xiao Xiao1," said Shelby, wife of Kyle Wright.
It seems like the group of wives really enjoyed their time this season and cannot wait to run it back. Do not sleep on this scrappy bunch coming into the 2025 season.
Bobby Witt Jr. and the Royals could carry this momentum into next season
The Kansas City Royals were an exciting team to watch. They had a good group of young and veteran players who helped each other throughout a long and grueling season.
They had incredible performances from their pitching staff. Throughout the 2024 season, they had the third-lowest ERA in the MLB behind the New York Yankees and Baltimore Orioles.
Offensively, the club was great. They had a good mix of contact, speed, and power, but the club could use another power bat coming into the new year. Bobby Witt Jr., Vinnie Pasquantino, and Salvador Perez accounted for 78 of the team's 170 home runs during the regular season.
They could use the offseason to look for an outfielder who can hold their own at the plate. The offensive production from the outfield was an area of struggle for Kansas City this season. Outside of that, the team looks poised to carry the momentum it created into the new season.
