New York Yankees pitcher Carlos Rodon's season did not end the way he or his teammates had hoped. They could not figure out a way to get anything going against the Los Angeles Dodgers, losing the World Series.
Despite that, Rodon has his eyes set on merrier times. While we have not yet reached Thanksgiving, that did not stop the lefty from setting up his Christmas tree and surprising his wife, Ashley with a snap.
"He said, 'I wanted to surprise you with a pic' LOL" said Ashley.
Not only did Rodon have the Christmas tree up and lights all around, but he also had one of Starbucks' holiday cups. All that is missing is Rodon and his son Willow rocking the matching flannel pajama set.
Yankees pitcher Carlos Rodon faces big expectations next season
Carlos Rodon joined the New York Yankees ahead of the 2023 season. They thought they were signing a dominant lefty who would pair nicely behind Gerrit Cole at the top of the rotation.
However, that first season in the Bronx did not go well. He had trouble coming off the IL to start the season and dealt with numerous injuries afterward. He was limited to just 14 starts, taking home a 6.85 ERA.
This past season, he made 32 starts and did much better, but not to the level the fanbase had hoped for. Rodon faced criticism for his postseason performance.
Rodon made four starts across all series, and he had a problem with giving up the long ball. Across those starts, he gave up five home runs and 11 runs in total.
He will come into the 2025 season with a chip on his shoulder. Rodon needs to perform well and get the job done alongside Gerrit Cole and Marcus Stroman.
