The Houston Astros haven't gotten to the start they had hoped for. On Saturday, they dropped the second game of a three-game series against the Minnesota Twins 9-6.
The loss brings the Astros to a 3-6 record to start the season. This isn't the same team that won the World Series last season, but you can't blame them. They're missing their All-Star second baseman Jose Altuve.

Houston couldn't stop Minnesota's bats on Saturday. Only one player for the Twins failed to get a hit against the Astros. Kyle Farmer had quite the day going 3-4 with a home run.
Luis Garcia struggled on the mound for Houston. He pitched four innings, giving up four runs and walking three batters. Yordan Alvarez did come through for the offense, hitting a mammoth grand slam, but it just wasn't enough.
"Need to trade for a legit ace and catcher" one fan tweeeted.
"15 strikeouts. What a disappointment" another fan tweeted.
Houston Astros fans are a bit disappointed with the lack of offense. While Yordan Alvarez is seeing the ball well, others haven't gotten off to a great start at the plate.
Fans are hoping this team can turn it around soon. They can't afford to dig themselves too big of a hole before Jose Altuve returns to the lineup. The American League West isn't as bad as it has been in seasons past.
The Houston Astros need to turn it around

The Houston Astros have seemed deflated to start the season. Losing Altuve seems to have really taken its toll on the team. Altuve is looking to return at the end of June. He's on the IL with a broken finger that he suffered in the World Baseball Classic.
The team can't wait around for Altuve to return, they need to turn it around now. They certainly have the talent to do so with hitters like Alvarez, Jose Abreu, Alex Bregman, and Jeremy Pena.
The pitching staff is also more than capable as well with Framber Valdez, Cristian Javier, and Lance McCullers Jr. Their bullpen is loaded, especially on the backend with Ryan Stanek, Bryan Abreu, and Ryan Pressly. While they haven't had a great start to the season, expect that to turn around soon.
Give this team some time; they should get out of their early-season funk. It's not like this team to struggle, especially with their next-man-up mentality.
