Former San Francisco Giant Brandon Crawford has been spending valuable time with his family this offseason. After 13 years of service for the Giants, Crawford inked a one-year deal with the St. Louis Cardinals ahead of the 2024 season. The Cards didn't qualify for the postseason, giving Crawford time to bond with his family.
In an Instagram post, Crawford's wife Jalynne reminisced about the couple's journey as they celebrated their 13th anniversary.
Brandon Crawford and Jalynne Dantzscher tied the knot on Nov. 26, 2011 at Kona, Hawaii. The couple married after Crawford's first season with the San Francisco Giants.
Brandon and Jalynne are proud parents of five children. Braylyn, born in 2012; Jaydyn, born in 2014; Bryson, born in 2016; Bryson, born in 2018; and Jazlyn, born in 2023.
Before being wedded to the San Francisco Giants legend, Jalynne was a gymnast who starred for UCLA alongside her twin Janelle Dantzscher and elder sister Jamie, who won the bronze medal in gymnastics at the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney.
Brandon Crawford's rocky stint for the St. Louis Cardinals
A multi-time World Series winner with the San Francisco Giants, Brandon Crawford has etched his name in his team's history and on course to be inducted into its Hall of Fame.
After more than a decade in the West Coast, Crawford signed with the St. Louis Cardinals for the 2024 season as the Giants went on a rebuild. However, the shortstop's brief stint with the Cards has been far from ideal.
In 71 at-bats for the Cardinals, Crawford only mustered a home run, four runs batted in and five runs scored on 12 hits with a .169 batting average. After a dismal showing, he was released on Aug. 20.
He's now a free agent, and judging by the atmosphere of the stove league, the veteran shortstop would only be signed by a team in need of a leader in the clubhouse to guide younger players.
