Pittsburgh Pirates pitcher Paul Skenes' girlfriend, Olivia Dunne, has been preparing for her fifth gymnastics season at LSU. Meanwhile, Skenes, coming off a stellar rookie year with the Pirates, is now preparing for the upcoming 2025 MLB season.
With the LSU gymnastics season still some time away, Olivia Dunne has been taking a break to relax. On Wednesday, she shared some snaps of herself on her Instagram story:
Olivia posted a selfie of herself soaking up the sun while relaxing on a couch. In another story, she shared a picture with her dog, Roux, with the caption:
“I swear she’s obsessed w me @thatgirlroux”
The 22-year-old LSU gymnast is coming off an NCAA championship with the Lady Tigers in April. The upcoming season will be her last with LSU.
Besides gymnastics, Olivia has a huge social media presence, with 5.3 million followers on Instagram and 8.1 million on TikTok. Dunne has also been featured as a Sports Illustrated swimsuit model.
Olivia Dunne discussed how being opposites with Paul Skenes helps their relationship work well
Last month, Dunne opened up about her relationship with Skenes and how it works well between them. In an interview with People, Dunne said:
“I feel like we’re like yin and yang. I love doing social media and I enjoy being in the spotlight… He doesn’t even have social media on his phone. He doesn’t like social media at all. We’re just very opposite and I feel like it really works.”
“I think that we play off of one another and make each other better. Paul definitely holds me accountable, which I really appreciate. Sometimes it’s hard to find it within yourself to do things.
Dunne also praised Skenes' work ethic and feels his advice has helped her become a better athlete.
Skenes and Dunne went public with their relationship in August of last year. Skenes is coming off his rookie season with an 11-3 record in 23 starts, recording a 1.96 ERA, 0.95 WHIP, and 170 strikeouts.
