Baltimore Orioles upstart Jackson Holliday, son of multiple-time MLB All-Star Matt Holliday, has been raised in a background of sports. Activities such as baseball and athletics have been integral in the routine of the Holliday children in their young adult lives.
Jackson spent his high school years at Stillwater High School in Oklahoma and established his name as one of the best baseball prospects in the nation. Coincidentally, Stillwater High is also where the young Orioles prospect's sister, Gracyn Ivy, is currently studying.
Gracyn Ivy is the third-oldest among the Holliday siblings and currently engages in athletics. In an Instagram story on Friday, she was spotted alongside her friends, wearing matching animal print outfits with cat ear headbands.
The Stillwater High athletics member is the only daughter of Matt and Leslee Holliday. Gracyn Ivy has two older brothers and a younger one.
Jackson Holliday lands on cover of Topps Chrome Update
The Fanatics-owned card trading company, Topps, has found a new cover athlete for its 2024 Topps Chrome Update in Baltimore Orioles prospect Jackson Holliday. The 20-year-old will feature alongside Pittsburgh Pirates starter Paul Skenes, Milwaukee Brewers outfielder Jackson Chourio and Chicago Cubs pitcher Shota Imanaga.
"𝗝𝗨𝗦𝗧 𝗜𝗡: Jackson Holliday is your official cover athlete for 2024 Topps Chrome Update Series. Holliday’s Rookie Debut Patch Autograph 1/1 will be one of the key chase cards in the product," Topps posted on social media.
Holliday will succeed Atlanta Braves All-Star Ronald Acuña Jr. and Arizona Cardinals outfielder Jordan Walker, both of whom were featured in the 2023 version of the update.
The Chrome Update is usually done and released by Topps at the conclusion of every season. The key difference between the Chrome release and the usual trading card is that cards produced with Chrome tech typically fetch more stability when it comes to their price tag.
At the time of writing, three out of the five most expensive ungraded chrome cards feature Los Angeles Dodgers star Shohei Ohtani. The Japanese superstar's (Superfractor) #1 card is currently valued at around $3,500 ungraded. Holliday's (Red Speckle Refractor Image Variation) #88 currently sits at around $2,250, good for fifth in the most expensive list.
