Jazz Chisholm Jr. drove in four runs Friday night against the Boston Red Sox as the New York Yankees got past their AL East rivals 9-6. After the game, Chisholm had a bold warning for the rest of the league.
The Yankees are in a dominant stretch, possessing a season-high 16 games above .500. Moreover, they have registered an MLB-best 15 innings in which they have scored five or more runs. After Friday's game, they are only trailing the Chicago Cubs (14) to have a 13th game with nine or more runs.
Chisholm Jr., who went 3-for-5 at the plate including four RBIs and a home run, hyped up the Yankees via YES Network:

"I mean, that’s what we feel like we should do every time someone steps into our house, you know. We’ve got to show them why we’re the Yankees and why this is Yankee Stadium. You know, we’ve got to go out there and always put it on — and that’s what we did tonight."
Jazz Chisholm Jr. shines in Yankees' 9-6 win
Jazz Chisholm Jr. didn't need much time to swing for the fence as he took Red Sox ace Walker Buehler deep in the very first inning for three runs. Buehler was just a strike away and Chisholm Jr. made him pay for pitching a breaking ball.
Postgame, Chisholm said he had worked on his hitting against off-pace pitches:
"Honestly, I was looking for the slider again, and he threw the curveball — I just fouled it off. And you know, last night I felt like I made an adjustment to off-speed pitches, and I got it — I handled it. I just feel like I just trusted myself not to over-swing 70% and the ball still goes."
Then in the second inning, he drove in a run by hitting a single off Buehler to put the Yankees up 6-0.
After returning from the injured list, Chisholm is doing damage at the plate. He is 8-for-16 including two home runs and six RBIs in four games.
Chisholm felt relieved for being able to produce consistently after the injured list stint:
"I mean, it means everything. You know, like I always say — I just want to help my team win. So for me, just to come back and be able to do that, it means everything."
With Aaron Judge and Chisholm leading the offense, the Yankees are in for good results.
