With Julio Urias on the injured list with a hamstring strain, the Los Angeles Dodgers are reportedly calling up top pitching prospect Bobby Miller.

MLB Insider Russell Dorsey reported that Miller, the No. 19-ranked prospect in baseball, will be recalled from Triple-A Oklahoma City in order to start Tuesday against Atlanta Braves star hurler Spencer Strider.

Miller's numbers at Oklahoma City are not impressive at first glance. He is 1-1 with a 5.65 ERA in four starts, with 12 strikeouts to six walks in 14.1 innings.

However, the first-round pick of the Los Angeles Dodgers in the 2020 MLB Draft features a scorching fastball that sits between 96-100 MPH. He has reportedly hit 102 MPH on occasion.

Miller features a four-pitch mix that is considered "above average" by scouts. He was ranked as the No. 3 prospect in MLB analyst Keith Law's examination of the Dodgers' farm system for this season.

Miller's first start of the season for Oklahoma City was delayed until April 29 due to shoulder soreness. However, in his first game of the season, eight of his pitches were thrown with a velocity of at least 100 MPH.

Miller is the second of the Los Angeles Dodgers pitching prospects called up in short order due to injuries to the big-league staff. Gavin Stone was recalled from Triple-A after starting pitcher Dustin May went on the IL.

Injuries to Urias and May have forced the Dodgers into calling up two of their top prospects. Stone will make his second MLB start on Monday before Miller starts on Tuesday.

Stone allowed five runs — four earned — over four innings against the Philadelphia Phillies in his MLB debut on May 3. He walked two while striking out one batter before being sent back to Oklahoma City.
