MLB fans reacted to Giancarlo Stanton’s failed attempt to score a run for the New York Yankees in their World Series Game 3 at Yankee Stadium. The Yankees entered Monday night’s game following losses in the first two games of the World Series against the Los Angeles Dodgers.
Game 3 also got off to a rough start for the Yankees, who gave up a 2-0 lead to the Dodgers in the first inning. The Los Angeles team further extended their lead in the third with Mookie Betts’ RBI single.
In the fourth inning, the Yankees came close to scoring when Anthony Volpe hit a single to Dodgers left fielder Teoscar Hernandez. On that hit, Giancarlo Stanton tried to score by running home.

However, Teoscar Hernández threw the ball to catcher Will Smith, who tagged out Stanton, leaving the Yankees without any runs. Several fans took to X to react to the moment.
“STANTON IS THE SLOWEST MAN ALIVE,” a fan said.
“My grandmother can run faster than that,” another fan said.
“Rojas needs to be fired in the offseason. You don't wave Stanton home. He's way too slow. Not the first time he's made a bad send,” another fan wrote.
Many other fans continued to criticize Giancarlo Stanton:
“He threw out the slowest guy in the league,” a comment reads.
“Not sure I’d call what Stanton’s doing there running,” another comment reads.
“Relax it’s Stanton. My mom runs faster than him,” someone wrote.
