Volpe culminated in a terrific preseason in which he hit .314 with three homers.Volpe and Oswaldo Cabrera secured themselves a seat on the team's Opening Day roster, the organization announced on Sunday, which put Oswald Peraza's place on the team in jeopardy and finally culminated in him being sent down to the minors.Yankees fans were left baffled by his exclusion and took to Twitter to express their feelings. He played well last year and backed it with a semi-decent spring outing.
