New York Yankees fans excited to have Carlos Rodon as star pitcher after newly arrived ace praises fans for booing team

Carlos Rodon is already on his way to becoming a fan favorite by the time he steps on the field for the first time as a New York Yankees player.

He ticked all the right boxes with his first press conference as a Yankee as he said:

“There was just something about the Yankees. The fans here want to win. They care. They care a lot. Giants fans are invested, but not like New York. Win or lose, you’re not getting booed in San Francisco.”

Yankees fans were delighted and ensured his praise of the fans was amply reciprocated.

Rodon joined the New York Yankees on a six-year deal worth $162 million.

The deal also guaranteed a $5 million signing bonus. Rodon will earn a $22 million salary in his first MLB season with the franchise, and $27 million yearly from 2024 to 2028.
