There is plenty to say about budding young superstar Corbin Carroll; just ask his teammate Paul Sewald. The veteran relief pitcher has been thoroughly amazed by the stat outfielder, who is helping the Arizona Diamondbacks near their first World Series berth since 2001.

When asked about the 23-year-old All-Star, Paul Sewald had nothing but praise for the outfielder. The veteran pitcher was in awe of Corbin Carroll, saying that he is "better in person than he is watching highlights." The compliment for his teammate is rather impressive, considering that Carroll's highlight tape is something to behold.

After being acquired from the Seattle Mariners, Paul Sewald has emerged as not only a reliable arm out of the bullpen but also a veteran leader to the team's young core.

The 33-year-old has been a key figure for his new club as they not only upset the Milwaukee Brewers in the National League Wild Card Series but also the Los Angeles Dodgers in the Division Series. Throughout the 2023 postseason, Sewald has recorded five saves without giving up a single run in the process.
