Paul Skenes' girlfriend and LSU gymnast Olivia Dunne boasts an immense following on the internet. That has helped her sign many NIL deals, leading most college athletes and only coming second to Colorado Buffaloes quarterback Shedeur Sanders in NIL earnings, according to On3.
The social media star is no stranger to the enormous amount of texts and messages she receives daily. The number revealed in the video says a lot about the fanbase of Dunne.
On Wednesday, LSU Gym posted a social media video where they asked gymnasts about the number of unread texts they have on their phones.
"I have 972," Chase Brock said.
"300," Aleah Finnegan said.
"1700," Annie Beard said.
"I have 0. I can't do that," Lexi Zeiss said.
"516," Tori Tatum said.
"47," Bryce Wilson said.
"462," Olivia Dunne said.
"1846," Alyona Shchennikova said.
"167," Ashley Cowan said.
Olivia Dunne shares one creepy and recurring fan comment, which she finds awkward
Not all reactions, comments and texts Olivia Dunne receives on social media are delightful. Some are disgusting and one, as Dunne said, was "creepy" too.
On fellow LSU star Flau'jae Johnson's “Best of Both Worlds with Flau’jae” podcast, the basketball star asked Livvy to share one fan experience she felt most irritated about.
“You know what I had for a really long time in my comment section? People asking for my bathwater,” Dunne replied.
Even Johnson was perplexed with such comments she saw on Olivia Dunne's post.
“What has my life come to? These people (are) begging for bathwater. But it has kind of settled down at this point, but that was a crazy one that I’ll never forget, and I kind of spun it off as a joke. I would kind of say some out of pocket stuff back, which maybe I shouldn’t have, but it was funny at the time,” Dunne added.
Adding more to the conversation, Dunne also doesn't like when people criticize her and gymnastics as a sport.
“One of the things that really annoys me the most is when people say, ‘She doesn’t deserve any of the things that she has’ and that ‘Gymnastics isn’t a real sport’ and stuff like that,” Dunne continued.
While Dunne enjoys fame, just like any other celebrity, she, at times, gets in the public eye negatively.
