Cristian Pache while playing for the Oakland Atheltics in the 2022 MLB season
Cristian Pache had a day to forget for the Philadelphia Phillies against the Texas Rangers. The Phillies designated hitter couldn't convert on important plays as Philadelphia lost 2-1 to the Rangers at the Globe Life Field.

Pache is the latest addition to the Philadelphia roster after being traded from the Oakland Athletics towards the end of the offseason. He impressed in spring training, batting over .300 and Philly fans counted it as a major win for the franchise. However, in three starts, Pache is yet to showcase that form.
The Phillies are yet to open their account, as they have lost all three games in the series against the Rangers. This has been attributed to the lack of scoring in the lineup. The defending NL champions have managed just 11 runs in the series.
In Sunday's game, Pache had three opportunities to score for his team with two bases loaded, but failed to convert. This angered Phillies fans, who suggested that the 24-year-old be used as a pinch runner before being given starts again.
