Kansas City Royals shortstop Bobby Witt Jr. fresh off coming up short in the AL MVP race against Aaron Judge, attended the wedding of his fellow teammate and second baseman Michael Massey in San Jose del Cabo, Mexico. The AL batting champion was joined by his fiancee Maggie Black, ace Cole Ragans and his wife Tori.
On Sunday, Priscilla Isbel, wife of Royals center fielder Kyle Isbel, shared snippets of time spent at Massey's wedding celebrations. She shared an Instagram post with her husband and a group photo with the girls gang.
It involved Vinnie Pasquantino's wife Ryann Pasquantino, James McArthur's better half Kate, Matt Duffy's wife Rachel, Witt's fiancee Maggie, Nick Loftin's wife Taylor and Ragan's wife Tori.
"celebrated The Massey’s all night long lastnight 🤍🕊️🍋🟩🥂," Isbel wrote in the caption.
The soon-to-be wife of Bobby Witt Jr., Maggie Black wore a bronze-colored, halter-neck gown with a shiny satin finish and a slightly open back. Ragans' wife Tori wore a light blue and cream-colored dress with a floral print. It had spaghetti straps and a deep neckline, complemented by her hair styled in loose waves.
Bobby Witt Jr. and Maggie Black to use baseball cards for wedding invites
Bobby Witt Jr. was a hardcore baseball fan since childhood while growing up in Colleyville, Texas. Ahead of her wedding ceremony with her fiancee Maggie Black scheduled for Dec. 14 in his hometown, Witt decided to use baseball card-themed wedding invitations to his groomsmen.
Pullwax, a card retailer, published a video on Oc.t 29 of MJ Melendez, who's among the groomsmen invited to the wedding, revealing the card, which was wrapped in a PSA 10. The card was a "Topps Bobby Witt Jr. Groomsman Card."
“I couldn’t think of a better way to send groomsman invitations than by using custom baseball cards. It would be an honor for you to be by my side on my wedding day. It wouldn’t feel right without you there. Consider this the official invite! - B Witter," the message displayed on the card's back.
The wedding couldn't have come at a better time following the season where Witt Jr. earned his first All-Star selection, All-MLB First Team, a Gold Glove and a Silver Slugger award.
