The New York Yankees might be leading the American League East, but the Boston Red Sox have got their number this season, winning the season series after a 4-3 win over the Bronx Bombers on Saturday.
The Red Sox took the series opener at Fenway Park after a 2-1 win in extra innings. They made it two wins in two after rookie Hunter Dobbins' scoreless outing on Saturday.
With the win, the Red Sox improved to 36-36 for the season, getting back to the .500 mark. Boston prospect Roman Anthony's sister, Lia, celebrated the win in an Instagram story, sharing a picture from the stands in the ballpark.

Anthony, the top prospect in baseball, got his much-anticipated senior call-up earlier this month. The outfielder didn't start Saturday's game and was called in to pinch hit for right fielder Rob Refsnyder.
However, he went hitless in his only plate appearance of the game as the home team survived a late scare to make it four consecutive wins. Last week, the Red Sox claimed bragging rights after beating the Yankees 2-1 in their three-game series in the Bronx.
Roman Anthony's sister Lia was surprised by the limelight after his MLB debut
Roman Anthony made his MLB debut on Tuesday with his family watching from the stands. Lia Anthony was part of the family members attending the game against the Tampa Bay Rays and her fan following on social media increased after her appearance.
“I went from having 3,000, and now I’m at 14,000 … We were all just shocked by it," Lia said on the Greg Hill Show (WEEI-Radio).
However, Roman Anthony is unfazed by the attention her elder sister is getting, despite being surprised by it.
“I think he definitely was shocked. We all were,” Lia said. “We all were kind of in disbelief. But, I mean, he’s got bigger things to focus on. So, he’s just been focusing on his debut and everything. But I think we were all just shocked by it.”
Roman Anthony would hope to make a bigger impact in the team's series finale against the Yankees on Sunday as the team aims for a fifth consecutive win.
