The Houston Astros are off to a poor start this season after being swept by the Atlanta Braves on Wednesday at home.

The Braves managed to edge out a narrow 5-4 win for the three-game series sweep at Minute Maid Park. With the loss, the Astros have dropped to 6-14, placing them last in the division. On the other hand, the Braves improved to 12-5.

Fans on X/Twitter couldn't believe that the Astros skid as they sent out one funny reaction after the other.

One fan even took note of the Astros' sign-stealing scandal from the past and said they were not able to cheat this time.

"This is what happens when y’all can’t cheat lol," one fan wrote.
"6-14!?? OMG YALL ARE BAD 😭," another wrote.

Others chipped in with hilarious memes to mock the loss.

One fan referred to Klay Thompson's dismal outing in a knockout game against the Sacramento Kings on Tuesday.

"KLAY THOMPSON TYPE TEAM," one wrote.

Astros bullpen blow another game, worrying signs ahead

There are a couple of reasons why the Astros are on a skid despite having a stacked roster. One is their big names not coming to the party and the other is their bullpen pitching, which has blown up the lead on several occasions, the latest coming in against the Braves on Wednesday.

Until the start of the eighth inning, the Astros, while treading closely, were leading the game 4-2. Ryan Pressly entered the eighth inning for the Astros and that's when the Braves got into action.

Pressly gave up a double to Austin Riley, putting two man on in second and third. The Astros errored at first, allowing Michael Harris Jr. to reach home and get within one run of the lead. Orlando Arcia then sent up the ball in the sky for a sac-fly.

With the scores tied 4-4 at the end of nine innings, the game entered the 10th inning, where Orlando Arcia singled for the go-ahead run. The Astros managed to get traffic on base in the bottom of the 10th but Rasiel Iglesias induced a double play to end the game.

Manager Joe Espada and the Astros think tank may want to get into a room and come up with a fix before the season goes out of hand.
