The New York Yankees are coming off a great 2024 season. After missing the postseason in 2023, they won the American League East and went all the way to the World Series.

The Bronx Bombers now go into the offseason with the opportunity to get better. However, on Thanksgiving, their focus is on wishing their fanbase a happy Turkey Day.

Despite the well wishes, the fanbase has their attention on free agency, and this is a huge free-agency period for the club. They have their eyes set on re-signing Juan Soto.

This is the biggest wish on the fanbase's wish list this year. It would be a tough scene in the Bronx if they could not get a deal done this winter and have to watch him dominate elsewhere next season.

Soto is the only thing on the Yankees fans' minds, and for good reason. He is coming off a season where he hit .288/.419/.569 with a career-high 41 home runs and 109 runs batted in.

"I'm thankful for Juan Soto" said another.

"Bring back Soto" said another.

"Announce Soto" said another.

The Yanks have already met and offered Soto a contract. They are one of five teams to get ahead of the rest of the pack on the hottest free agent this winter. Other teams include the Toronto Blue Jays, Boston Red Sox, New York Mets, and Los Angeles Dodgers.

While the Yankees offered Juan Soto a contract already, it may not have been the best offer they could give. According to The New York Post's Jon Heyman, they have increased their initial offer.

According to Heyman, this is the club's biggest focus of the offseason. They do not want to leave anything to chance, especially with big-market teams like the New York Mets, Los Angeles Dodgers, and Boston Red Sox in the mix.

There is no denying that Soto makes the Yanks a better team. His presence takes much of the pressure off guys like Aaron Judge and Giancarlo Stanton to be the main focus of the offense.

The specifications of their offer have not been made public, but with their money, expect their offer to be toward the top.
