The new MLB season has just begun, but for Aaron Judge and the New York Yankees, it is already shaping up to be a special one. The reigning American League MVP continued where he left off last season, hitting two home runs in his first four games.

Judge is not the only one getting in on the action, as Anthony Rizzo and Giancarlo Stanton have flexed their muscle early this season, with each of them recording home runs.

Not only is the season starting off on the right foot for New York Yankees fans because of the home run surge but because of the emergence of top prospect Anthony Volpe. The rookie shortstop secured a starting role with the big club after a strong spring training, causing fans to dub Volpe as the next coming of Derek Jeter.

While his rookie season has not started with a flurry of hits, fans have already fallen in love with their new shortstop. One thing that fans have noticed over the early stretch of the season is the height difference between their captain Aaron Judge and their new fan-favorite Anthony Volpe.

At 6-foot-7, Aaron Judge is among the tallest players in the MLB, and has fully utilized his stature to become one of the top batters in baseball. Compared to his new teammate, Judge towers over Volpe, who has officially been listed at 5-9. The New York Yankees captain is nearly one foot taller than his rookie counterpart.

While he stands at only 5-9, Volpe may not be a hulking man, if he can help the New York Yankees deliver a World Series title to the city, he could become a larger-than-life figure in the Big Apple.

Where does Aaron Judge rank among the tallest players in the MLB?

The New York Yankees' captain is among the tallest in the league, however, he does not hold the number one spot. At 6-7, Judge is the same height as several players, including Adam Wainwright, Oneil Cruz, Connor Sadzeck, Miguel Castro, and Trey Wingenter.

Tampa Bay Rays starting pitcher Tyler Glasnow, along with Brad Wieck of the Chicago Cubs, have both been recorded at 6-8, but there is one man who stands above the rest. His name is Sean Hjelle.

At an astounding 6-11, Sean Hjelle is officially the tallest MLB player of 2023. He joins Jon Rauch as the only two MLB players in history who stand at 6-11.
