Billy Wagner and Curt Schilling were both star players of their time. Schilling was on the voting ballot for the Hall of Fame when Wagner slammed him, undermining the Houston Astros legend's HOF worthiness.

Although Schilling was a great on-field player, Wagner didn't consider him worthy of HOF as his issues with Schilling started off the field. With his political opinions and stance on certain hot-button issues, he has infuriated a lot of people, including Wagner.

In 1995, Wagner made his Major League debut with the Astros after receiving a late-season promotion from AAA baseball. Schilling, a commentator for the right-wing television network BlazeTV, helped the Philadelphia Phillies reach the World Series in 1993.

The Astros selected Wagner in the first round of the Major League Baseball draft in 1993.

Wagner pitched a one hitter in the ninth inning of a 10-5 loss to the New York Mets. He didn't get another chance to pitch for the Astros that year; this was it.

Schilling retired with a career record of 11-2 in the postseason. Among pitchers with at least ten decisions, his postseason winning percentage of .846 is a major league record.
