When former SF Giants star Aubrey Huff locked horns with Trevor Bauer in a Twitter war: "He’s a great tweeter. MLB pitcher? That’s debatable"

No one can deny that Aubrey Huff and Trevor Bauer are more similar than either of them would like to admit.

Their fiery personalities and their online presence speak to their similarities. In 2020, the Major League Baseball Players Association proposed a 60-game season. And for good reason as well, as it was the start of the Covid-19 virus breakout.

Bauer took particular offense to the decision and criticized it in cryptic words on his Twitter handle. He wrote:

"I have so much more I want to say about this whole thing but out of respect to my fellow players I’m going to continue holding my tongue. If any of you would like to talk about it please hit me up privately."

When Aubrey Huff saw the above tweet from the pitcher, he was quick to reply back to him. His reply read:

“Can we remind @BauerOutage of his career 4+ ERA, 3.5 BB per 9 innings, & 10 games over .500 winning % is a 4/5th starter salary in @mlb & maybe keep quiet before he’s exposed, please & thank you. He’s a great tweeter. #MLB pitcher? That’s debatable.”

This was not the first feud between the players and seeing as how the two can't seem to stand each other, a similar exchange is likely in the future.

When Aubrey Huff tweeted sexist remarks against first ever female MLB coach

Alyssa Nakken was made the first ever female coach back in 2020. She was hired by the San Francisco Giants as an assistant coach. This was a great move made by the organization in order to diversify the community.

However, some didn't see the move as something to be celebrated, and Aubrey Huff was one of those people. He posted this on his Twitter account after learning of the news:

"I got in trouble for wearing a thong in my own clubhouse when female reporters were present. Can’t imagine how it will play out with a full time female coach running around. This has #metoo & #BelieveAllWomen written all over it. Only in ⁦@SFGiants"

He commented on his original with this continuation:

"Couldn’t imagine taking baseball instruction from an ex female softball player. Have fun with that @bcraw35 @bbelt9 @BusterPosey"

The former Giants player is already known as someone with sexist views. The comments did not come as a surprise to anyone.
