What's the story?

Looking back on the year that went by, luck surely struck tweeter John Goehrke, when he got the chance to go on a date with tennis star Eugenie Bouchard. It looks like Goehrke had another stream of interesting tweets to follow once again, he was back again with the tennis star for Super Bowl 52 this year.

In case you didn't know...

A streak of luck and pluck on the side of University of Missouri's student, John Goehrke, resulted in him winning a bet and a date with the tennis sensation last year. As per the bet, the youngster tweeted, suggesting a date with Bouchard if the New England Patriots defeated the Atlanta Falcons.

Having lost her bet to the youngster, Bouchard kept her promise of going on a date with him, and the two have made headlines ever since.

The heart of the matter

It has been a year since then and in order to honour this, the duo has made a comeback for the Super bowl 52 this year in Minnesota. The NFL Canada is said to have invited the two to the event as well.

Agreeing to this invitation, the two were spotted attending the event on February 4, and also attended a question and answer session in the early hours, prior to the event.

The 23-year-old Canadian tennis star also took to Twitter to highlight their comeback.

Bouchard has posted a couple of Instagram pictures and tweets to suggest that the two have been meeting and on off, as a result of which the Super Bowl was an event they wouldn't want to miss.

The duo has definitely taken Twitter by storm with their almost movie-like bond. Fans will surely remain glued to see when the two will make an appearance again.

Despite this being a circumstance that one watches in movies (common man meets a celebrity), it is heartwarming to watch the two stay true to their bet and pay tribute to it a year later.
