Carson Cooper plays college basketball for the Michigan State Spartans men's basketball in the Big Ten Conference. Carson Cooper is in his junior year and plays as a center. Carson Cooper started his collegiate career with the Michigan State Spartans in 2022.

As a freshman, Carson Cooper appeared in 30 games for the Spartans and played 35 games as a sophomore. Cooper, who was coached by Jeremy Schiller, played for the IMG Varsity Blue team during the season while attending IMG Academy in Florida. He assisted in leading the squad to a regular season record of 25-5.

Cooper received first-team all-tournament recognition at the Kingdom of the Sun and Big Shots Prep National Championships, and he finished second in the SLAM HS Division of the Big Shots Prep National Championship. Cooper spent his sophomore year playing for Jackson Northwest. At Jackson Northwest, where he helped lead the team to the state cup runner-up victory, Carson was named an honorable mention all-state by the Michigan High School Soccer Coaches Association.
