Jonas Aidoo is an American basketball power forward who has found a new home in the collegiate ranks and has joined the Arkansas basketball program for his final year of eligibility. After three seasons with the Tennessee Volunteers, Aidoo announced his decision to transfer to Arkansas Razorbacks where he would play under former Kentucky head coach John Calipari.
His journey from high school to collegiate basketball began in Tennessee despite receiving offers from Alabama, Georgia, Ole Miss, Clemson, Kansas, Marquette, and West Virginia. Aidoo initially decided to join Marquette but flipped his commitment to play for Tennessee. In his sophomore season with Tennessee, he averaged 5.1 points, 4.9 rebounds and a team-best 1.3 blocks. His breakthrough campaign came during the 2023-24 season when he helped Tennessee make its second Elite 8 appearance and was voted to the SEC All-Defensive Team. In his three-year stint with the Vols, Aidoo averaged 7.0 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 1.3 blocks in 90 appearances.
