Nate Oats is the head coach for the Alabama Crimson Tide men’s basketball team. Oats began his coaching career as an assistant coach at Maranatha Baptist from 1997 to 2000 and joined Wisconsin-Whitewater, where he gained experience as an assistant coach from 2000 to 2002. Oats became the head coach at Romulus High School in Michigan from 2002 to 2013, where he won a state title in 2013 with a 222-52 overall record. In 2013, he was an assistant coach at Buffalo before transitioning as the head coach in 2015.
