AJ Dybantsa explains how Kevin Young's family pitch influenced his decision

In his first season coaching at BYU, Kevin Young led the Cougars to a 26-10 record and earned an NCAA Tournament bid. The upcoming season promises to be even more exciting, as Young has secured a commitment from five-star recruit AJ Dybantsa out of Utah Prep.

During his recent interview with KSL Sports' Mitch Harper, Dybantsa opened up about the pivotal role that coach Young played in his decision to join BYU. Harper asked him about the significance of the family bond that Young emphasized during his recruitment pitch.

"We went to Top Golf, we were all swinging, and I went to some of the basketball games. They allowed me in their locker room after the game, and it was just like, 'Yeah, I have to come here.' It was one of those things."
