Cody Williams will enter the 2024 NBA Draft, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN, who tweeted:

"Colorado Buffaloes freshman G Cody Williams – an expected lottery pick -- is entering the 2024 NBA Draft, he tells ESPN. Williams – No. 10 in ESPN’s list of Top 100 prospects – is one of draft’s best defenders, using a 6-foot-8 frame and 7-1 wingspan to his distinct advantage."

Check out Adrian Wojnarowski's tweet on Cody Williams below:

The fourth-ranked overall prospect in the 2023 recruiting class had a strong season for the Colorado Buffaloes. He averaged 11.9 points, 3.0 rebounds, 1.6 assists, 0.6 steals and 0.7 blocks per game while shooting 55.2% from the field, 41.5% from three-point range and 71.4% from the free-throw line.

Williams has shown the ability to develop into a legitimate NBA three-and-D wing, meaning that there should be no shortage of potential suitors for him. Here's a look at his five potential landing spots below.

Five potential landing spots for Cody Williams in the 2024 NBA Draft

#1: San Antonio Spurs

While the San Antonio Spurs have found their building block in Victor Wembanyama, they will need to build a strong core around him.

San Antonio struggled on both ends of the floor and will need to bring in defensive minded players to surround their young star. Cody Williams could be a fit due to his strong defensive and shooting ability.

#2: Chicago Bulls

It is unclear what direction the Chicago Bulls will head this offseason as they could finally opt to begin a rebuild that seems long overdue. Either way, they will need to add young talent on the wing to supplement Coby White, who had a breakout season in 2023-24.

Chicago could target Cody Williams, particularly if DeMar DeRozan is not back next season.

#3: Memphis Grizzlies

The Memphis Grizzlies will have plenty of reinforcements return next season. They could look to bolster their perimeter defense by targeting a player such as Cody Williams.

Memphis could re-enter the postseason picture next season, so they will likely look to add a player who can contribute immediately and fit alongside Ja Morant.

#4: Oklahoma City Thunder

While the Oklahoma City Thunder are the No.1 seed in the Western Conference, they are still very young.

They could look to use their lottery pick - courtesy of the Houston Rockets - to add a three-and-D wing such as Cody Williams to bolster a defensive unit that was already strong in 2023-24.

#5: Utah Jazz

While they ranked 11th in scoring offense, Utah Jazz ranked 29th out of 30 teams in scoring defense. They were particularly bad on the perimeter as they ranked last in the league in both three-pointers allowed and opponent three-point shooting percentage.

Utah will likely use their lottery pick to get a defensive-minded player, such as Cody Williams.
