Born in Dallas, Texas, Rylan Griffen attended Richardson High School, where he emerged as one of the top shooting guards in the nation. During his senior season, he averaged 20.6 points, 4.4 rebounds, 3.0 assists, and 1.7 steals per game, earning him the title of District 7-6A Offensive MVP. His high school team achieved remarkable success, finishing with a national ranking of No. 1 among public school teams and No. 2 overall in ESPN's national rankings during his senior year.
