Carson Beck is the Georgia Bulldogs starting quarterback and one of the better prospects in the 2025 NFL draft. Beck won two national football championships as a backup to Stetson Bennett, and he's aiming for one in his second year as the undisputed starter for Kirby Smart's side.
As we're a few months away from the draft cycle, let's take a look at potential Carson Beck landing spots.
Three teams in dire need of Carson Beck in the 2025 NFL Draft
Here's a look at three NFL teams that should consider drafting Carson Beck in the 2025 NFL draft:
#3. Carolina Panthers
The Carolina Panthers drafted Bryce Young with the first overall pick of the 2023 NFL draft. So far in the NFL, Young hasn't set off fireworks, and he's looked lost at times on the Gridiron.
One thing Carson Beck has over Young is his prototype build as an NFL quarterback. The Georgia Bulldogs star is 6'4" and 220 pounds, giving him a significantly different profile from the 5'10" and 204-pound Bryce Young.
Furthermore, Beck's ability to make full-field reads and progressions could be a game-changer for Dave Canales's side.
#2. Cleveland Browns
The Deshaun Watson experiment is not working in Cleveland, and each week that passes makes the decision to pay the former Pro Bowler look worse. Watson is out for the foreseeable future, and it remains to be seen what version of the former Houston Texans star that the Browns get back in 2025.
Hence, it could be a masterstroke for the Browns to draft Carson Beck out of the Georgia Bulldogs. They'll be getting a winner at the collegiate level and a player with a decent floor and impressive ceiling.
Beck's pocket-passing ability could unlock an underrated Browns offense. The Georgia Bulldogs star has operated in a pro-style offense throughout his college career. It shouldn't be that big of a deal to adjust to a team that made the playoffs just one year ago with Joe Flacco under center.
#1. New York Giants
The New York Giants are in shambles. The team lost current Offensive Player of the Year frontrunner Saquon Barkley in free agency. They released franchise QB Daniel Jones mid-season, and they're currently on a six-game losing streak.
The Giants could use a Day 2 or Day 3 pick to select Beck, and he'd be a solid investment. Beck is used to throwing the ball to excellent pass catchers in Georgia, and his partnership with Malik Nabers could be one for the books.
Furthermore, the Georgia Bulldogs star has experience performing in a high-pressure environment. Hence, it's unlikely that the New York crowd will phase him.
