Shelomi Sanders is a basketball player and the daughter of Colorado Buffaloes' football coach Deion Sanders and fitness influencer Pilar Sanders. Shelomi is the only basketball prospect in a family dominated by elite football stars and fitness-leaning individuals.
With the college basketball season on a break, Pilar posted a picture of Shelomi training and in the middle of driving to the basket on her Instagram story with the caption,
"MY BEAUTIFUL BABEEEEEEE 👹👹👹"

Shelomi has WNBA dreams, and the NCAA provides a good opportunity to refine her skills. The Sanders household is well-versed in drafts, as Deion Sanders was an early pick in the 1989 NFL draft, Shedeur Sanders' slide in this year's draft was a major talking point, while Shilo Sanders went undrafted. So, the Alabama A&M prospect has numerous older siblings and a father to give her ample advice in her current journey.
What's next for Shelomi Sanders?
Shelomi Sanders started her collegiate basketball career with the Jackson State Tigers. She played two games for the program before entering the transfer portal and eventually joining her father and brothers at the University of Colorado.
Shelomi Sanders appeared in a handful of games for the Colorado Buffaloes in her sophomore year. Her best showing was a 3-point game at Air Force on December 2, while she grabbed a rebound against the Oregon Ducks in March.
Sanders has aspirations of playing basketball at the highest level, but it became clear that Colorado wasn't the right fit. In 2024, the youngest of the Sanders' siblings committed to Dawn Thornton and the Alabama A&M Bulldogs. With the fresh start, she aims to improve her last season's average of 0.6 points and 0.6 rebounds per game.
Shelomi Sanders is putting in the work in the offseason. This is a make-or-break year for Coach Prime's second daughter as she looks to prove her worth to professional scouts and the WNBA teams.
