Buffalo Bills running back Damien Harris recently criticized the Florida State Seminoles for violating NIL rules. In an Instagram post, the former Alabama Crimson Tide player shared the news of FSU's penalty and called for the program to be removed from college football.

The Seminoles were hit by sanctions from the NCAA for violating NIL rules for recruiting players. The program has been placed on a two-year probation and must distance themselves from their NIL collective for one year.

“Just get rid of them fr lol,” Harris said in an Instagram story.

The sanctions came on the charge that a Seminoles coach drove a prospective recruit to a meeting with the program's most prominent NIL collective during the prospect’s official campus visit.

So they have been accused of using NIL deals as a recruiting inducement. According to Yahoo Sports, the coach in question was offensive line coach Alex Atkins. A 247Sports report identified the prospect in question as Georgia Bulldogs offensive tackle Amarius Mims.

The Seminoles made news earlier this season after being kept out of the college football playoffs after finishing the regular season undefeated and capturing the ACC championship.

Damien Harris on FSU’s potential ACC exit

It isn't the first time that Damien Harris has taken a shot at the Florida State football program. Last month, the Bills RB took a subtle jab at FSU’s potential exit from the Atlantic Coast Conference, valued at a whopping $120 million.

“If you can't beat ‘em, join ‘em,” Harris wrote in a cryptic Instagram story.

The Seminoles have been exploring their options for a conference switch. But a grant of rights contract that is valid until 2036 has been quite a hurdle for the program in achieving that. And now they have been hit by sanctions for NIL violations. The problems for the Seminoles just keep coming in.
