Pete Davidson’s character in Guardians 3 revealed along with other major cameos

Guardians 3 is out impressing fans and critics alike, as it not only gives closure to all original characters but also brings in many new faces. It was James Gunn’s final MCU outing and he treated it as a celebration of his favorite characters. Joining him in this celebration were his family and friends, who all got to cameo in the movie.

One of the actors that Gunn recently revealed to have a cameo in Guardians 3 was Pete Davidson. The SNL star got to play a small role in The Suicide Squad, and he also showed up on the set of Guardians 3. Gunn initially stated that fans need to look closely in order to find out who he is playing, however, the director himself has now revealed Davidson’s cameo character.

James Gunn reveals that SNL star Pete Davidson plays Phlektik in Guardians 3

In his latest Tweet, James Gunn revealed that he voiced the scary-looking alien called Lambshank, that showed up in the final act of the film. He also revealed the previously unidentified live-action character that Davidson played.

Pete Davidson apparently cameoed as Phlektik, an alien henchman that the High Evolutionary employed towards the end of the film. According to Gunn, Davidson also voiced a separate character, who hasn’t yet been revealed.


All other infamous cameos in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3

1) The Ravagers

Amongst the Ravagers, Sylvester Stallone returned as Stakar, reprising his role from Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2. Joining him was Michael Rosenbaum as Martinex. But this time, Mainframe wasn’t voiced by Miley Cyrus, hence the Miss Minutes voice actor from Loki, Tara Strong, took over.

Another Ravager cameo that happened at a different time in the film was of Michael Rooker, who showed up as Yondu Udonta to motivate Kraglin.


2) Nathan Fillion as Master Karja

Nathan Fillion plays Master Karja, an authoritative guard that the Guardians run into when they break into Orgoscope in order to steal Rocket’s files. However, this isn’t the first time Fillion showed up in a James Gunn movie.

After working with the director on Slither, he appeared as a blue prison alien on the Kyln in Guardians Vol. 1, had a deleted cameo as Simon Williams in Vol. 2, and also appeared in The Suicide Squad as TDK.


3) Daniela Melchior as Ura

After becoming the heart of The Suicide Squad, Daniela Melchior was also cast in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. Her character was later revealed to be Ura, an administrator aboard the Orgoscope that the Guardians take hostage before Peter Quill works his charm on her.


4) Jennifer Holland as Administrator Kwol

James Gunn’s wife, Jennifer Holland, is known for her role as Emilia Harcourt in the DC Universe. But she also showed up to cameo in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 as Administrator Kwol at Orgoscope. Unfortunately, her character ended up dying in the film.


5) Seth Green as Howard the Duck

Howard the Duck first appeared in the original Guardians of the Galaxy. Then he got a cameo in Vol. 2 before showing up in Avengers: Endgame for a split second. It was presumed that he’d get a bigger role in Vol. 3. But that didn’t happen. However, we did get a traditional cameo featuring the character.
