9.India vs Australia, Nairobi 2000
India took on Australia in the quarterfinal of the 2000 ICC Knockout trophy in Nairobi. Opting to bat first, Sourav Ganguly and Sachin Tendulkar got the team off to a good start , but both went soon and Rahul Dravid followed suit as well, as they fell from 66 for 0 to 90 for 3.
But that's when 18-year-old Yuvraj Singh walked in and in a show of very little nerves against some top quality bowling, led the counter-attack for his side. He eventually go out for an 80-ball 84, helping India reach 265 for 9 in their 50 overs.
Australia required someone to get a big score but unfortunately, couldn't get that big score that they needed, losing by 20 runs to bow out of the tournament.
10.India vs Australia, Bangalore 1996
Electing to bat first, Australia made a below-par 215 , thanks largely to Mark Taylor’s 105. India got off to a wobbly start in their chase of the target, being reduced to 47 for 4, before Sachin Tendulkar and Ajay Jadeja stitched together a key stand of 69 runs to restore parity. But once Jadeja fell for 27, India suffered yet another mini collapse and at 164 for 8, it looked as though it was all over.
However, that's when Javagal Srinath and Anil Kumble, two local boys, started to display their batting abilities and put on 52 runs for the ninth wicket to help India win by two wickets.
