Matthew Cross and Kyle Coetzer got Scotland off to a good start followed by notable contributions from MacLeod and Munsey which helped Scotland post a huge total of 371/5 in 50 overs.
Chasing such a big total, England were not going to give up without a fight. Jonny Bairstow was in scintillating form as he scored 105 runs off 59 balls. This was followed by cameos from Alex Hales (52) and Moeen Ali (46). But even a late flourish from Liam Plunkett (47) couldn’t help England chase down the target.
Despite sizable contributions from a few batsmen, wickets at the other end kept tumbling and England was soon all out for 365 runs - just six runs short of their target.

If ever given a chance to change a storyline, Sunil would have booked Roman Reigns to end The Undertaker’s WrestleMania streak instead of Brock Lesnar. According to him, The Tribal Chief needed the victory more than Brock Lesnar, as the latter was already an established performer when he defeated ‘Taker. He would’ve also made that as Taker’s final match.
